The tour starts at the Spitzen Warte, one of the highest points of the Haarstrang. It leads past restored windmills and wind turbines to the west. From there, a beautiful view over the heights of the Sauerland is possible. It continues past several villages and idyllic forest areas, back to Rüthen.

Safty guidelines

A rescue point system is installed throughout the region (Soest district, Hochsauerlandkreis district, Märkischer Kreis district, Olpe district and Siegen-Wittgenstein district). Public transiot

The local public transport ( ÖPNV ) is ensured in Rüthen by the two transport companies of RLG Regionalverkehr Ruhr-Lippe GmbH and BRS Busverkehr Ruhr-Sieg GmbH. You can get timetable information here or by calling 01803/504030. Arrival by train: by DB to Lippstadt, from there bus connection to Rüthen.

by car:From the north:Motorway junction Hannover-Nord via A2 direction Bielefeld/Dortmund until freeway junction Bielefeld - A33 direction Paderborn until freeway exit Salzkotten, from there onto the L776 direction Büren/Rüthen.From the south and east: via the A44 Kassel-Dortmund to the freeway exit Büren/Rüthen, from there onto the L776 in the direction of Rüthen.From the west:via the A44 Dortmund-Kassel, exit Anröchte onto the B55, after approx. 8 km turn left onto Effeln - Menzel - Rüthen
