Viewing platform with panoramic view
The water tower (35 m) towers over the Möhnetal and stands at the highest point of the Oberstadt in Rüthen (386 m above sea level). From a climbable viewing platform (29 m) you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view of the Haarstrang, the heights of the Brilon Forest and the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park.
In optimal weather conditions, you can even see the Hermann monument in the Teutoburg Forest.
The platform of the water tower at the city wall is open all year round.
Sightseeing fee per single person 1,00 €(outside of group tours,
otherwise included in the price of guided tours of the town of Rüthen).
