From the train station in the old Hanseatic town of Brilon, the route leads along the Kurpark. The spa park offers several water areas with rest and relaxation facilities and a Kneipp facility, whose water comes from the nearby Möhnequelle, to which this cycle route leads.
On the short route, you leave the Maria Hilf hospital on the left and reach Brockmannshütte.
The Möhne has its source on the southern edge of the extensive Brilon plateau about 2 km south-south-east of Brilon town center. The source is located on the eastern slope of the Poppenberg at around 545 m above sea level in the Helle district, known as "Little Switzerland".
The last (approx. 300) meters cannot be cycled and must be walked.
