The market place with Geschichtsbrunnen, historical town model, St. Nikolaus church, approx. 3 km of town wall foundations with tower remains, town moat with historical Jewish burial ground, old town gate, St. Johanneskirche, foundation remains of the former Rüdenburg, Hexenturm, water tower with viewing platform at a height of 29 m, former Capuchin monastery with garden grounds, former Ursuline monastery, old baroque town hall with unique circular staircase and numerous historic half-timbered houses are just a few of Rüthen's many sights.
